Chapter 2 Switch to a movie star for love

Ji Tao strode forward, blocking my path.

I could tell he was panicking.

“Jiang Xianhao, explain yourself clearly.”

His grip on my arm was so tight it hurt. I struggled to break free.

“When did the great Best Actor go deaf?”

He tightened his hold deliberately. “Repeat what you just said.”

Ji Tao gritted his teeth, his face turning an ashen shade of blue—ugly beyond words.

I forced my arm out of his grasp, rubbing the sore spot. “Get out of my way. Good dogs don’t block paths.”

With that, I walked away without looking back.

Ji Tao punched the wall hard, his voice seething with anger.

“Jiang Xianhao! Is this my birthday gift from you?”

Oh, right—he still expected a birthday gift from me.

Every year for Ji Tao’s birthday, I’d wrack my brain to prepare something special. This year was no exception.

He’d been in Europe for three months, and as soon as he got back, he’d gone straight to the premiere. I’d planned to give him a surprise after the event.

But when he kissed Shen Zhizhi amid the crowd’s cheers, I’d suddenly grown tired of his endless neglect and coldness.

When I got home and saw the dining room I’d spent days decorating, I couldn’t help but laugh bitterly.

I dumped all the kept-warm food into the trash can.

I went to the bedroom, pulled out my suitcase, and started packing.

Halfway through, I heard the sound of someone entering the passcode. I walked out of the bedroom, arms full of clothes.

Ji Tao and Shen Zhizhi stood at the door.

Seeing the flowers I’d scattered across the floor, Shen Zhizhi excitedly tugged at Ji Tao’s sleeve. “Wow, Brother Ji Tao! Is this a surprise for me? Wuwu, I love it so much!”

Ji Tao didn’t have time for her.

When he saw me standing in the living room, he licked his lips and called out, “Hao Hao……”

Hao Hao your ass.
